EVENT: United Story - Boston Beyond Today
United Story Project is organizing a series of events this winter around the country, to share documentary art based on people's personal experience with systemic racism and police misconduct. Events are currently being organized in St. Louis, Seattle, New Jersey, and Boston. All the events will contain original material generated by the local community, as well as material from the other locations where events are being held. Each gathering will conclude with a "21 Day Challenge," a group conversation that will generate a community project to take concrete action against racism locally, enhance trust in our communities, and build hope.
Please join us at our Boston Beyond Today Events for evenings of theatre, art and poetry that bring together perspectives and voices of individuals in response to the recent uprising in Ferguson, Boston and beyond.
There will be a gallery of photography, writing, film and music, and a performance of original devised and documentary theatre, performance poetry, music, film and more. The performance will be followed by a facilitated discussion to strategize what we as a community can do in response to the stories we can no longer ignore.
