Youth Justice and Power Union – Boston
The Youth Justice and Power Union staged a rally at Boston City Hall on Tuesday last week. In a rally dubbed a "youth unemployment fair," the group hit out at the lack of funding for youth jobs in the city, and called for greater resources to be made available for creating employment for young people.

United for Justice with Peace and Veterans for Peace – Boston
Anti-war demonstrators with United for Justice with Peace and Veterans for Peace called for a halt to renewed military intervention in Iraq in a rally at Park St. station in Boston on Saturday. They hit out at the Obama administration’s decision to dispatch military advisers and naval vessels to the Persian Gulf, and criticized what they claim is the government’s intention to renew air strikes against the Iraq, and possibly Syria.

Domestic Workers Bill of Rights –State House
The Massachusetts House voted overwhelmingly in favor of a bill dubbed the "domestic workers’ bill of rights" on Wednesday. The bill will guarantee basic labor rights and government benefits for a wide range of home services workers. The vote follows a state Senate endorsement of the bill last month, and the bill will now go to Governor Deval Patrick’s office for his consent. ENDS
