Student Video: Where the Hell is Arnaldo?
Where the Hell is Arnaldo? is a whirlwind tour of Dorchester in the style of the viral video "Where the hell is Matt?" Arnaldo Pires, who is graduating this month from Jeremiah Burke High School, produced this video as an assignment for the Digital Connectors Program at the Boston Centers for Youth and Families' Grove Hall Community Center. Students in the program were asked to produce videos about the places, objects and memories that most influenced them. Arnaldo's work is a great reminder of Dorchester's vibrant cultural diversity as well as the talent and initiative of its young people.
Digital Connectors is a national afterschool program developed by One Economy, a global non-profit organization that helps underserved communities access technology. Digital Connectors offers students an opportunity to improve their technical skills and media literacy. This year's class in Grove Hall marks the first time the program has been implemented in Boston and was made possible by a grant from CTIA, the wireless industry's trade association.
