BOSTON - As part of a national day of action Saturday, immigrants across the country took part in an estimated over 100 rallies.
In Boston, a demonstration by a large number of immigrant rights groups and their supporters called on the US House of Representatives to move forward on legislation that includes a pathway to citizenship. A march began at Boston Public Library in Copley Square, and included over 2,000 participants by the time it reached Boston Common. A number of speakers on a stage there spoke out about the issues faced by those living without legal status in the US.
